Praxis proffers park plans

plans-THUMB.jpegPraxis has announced plans to build a 1.1m sq ft industrial, office and leisure park at Whitebirk, Lancashire.

The developer will hold a public exhibition of the plans on 24 February. The plans include 1m sq ft of sheds on four sites, 50,000 sq ft of offices and a hotel.

The 89-acre site at Blackburn Road near Knuzden has been designated a strategic regional employment site.

Praxis director Gabriel McLaughlin said: “Against the backdrop of a tough economic environment, we are developing plans for a mixed-employment development site that will act as a major boost to the local economy with the creation of up to 2,000 jobs of significant benefit to the local community.

“We are keen to ensure that the local community has the opportunity to comment on the scheme to help develop something we’re all proud of and that fulfils our objectives of attracting inward investment and creating a range of jobs for the area.”
