Praxis secures Glasgow office tenant

Praxis has let 28,000 sq ft at its 310 St Vincent Street development in Glasgow to debt collection agency Wescot Credit Services.

It is thought to be the largest office letting in Scotland since lockdown began in March.

The firm has signed for the second, third and fourth floors at the nine-storey building. It comes after fund manager MDP Capital and engineering firm Clancy Consulting agreed to take the top two floors in March, which brought the building to 50% occupancy.

The tenant line-up is rounded off by IT provider Cisco, engineering company COWI, patent and trademarking outfit Lawrie IP and tech firm OnScale.

Richard Harrison, asset manager at Praxis, said: “Given the challenges city centre offices have faced, it is a testament to the building and quality of refurbishment that Wescot committed to 310 St Vincent Street as their new home within three months of their first inspection.”

He added that part of the first-floor offices are “now in solicitors’ hands” and that the building is “close to fully let”.

Sarah Hagen, office agency associate at Knight Frank Glasgow, which advised Praxis, said: “Glasgow’s office market is beginning to pick up again and as businesses consider their return to the workplace, they are looking for flexible, high-quality space at a competitive price point.”

The letting to Wescot caps a busy period for Praxis in Scotland, having sold Fintry House on Hamilton Business Park in September after an occupational lease re-gear to John Lewis Partnership.

Knight Frank represented Praxis; Ryden acted for Wescot.
