Premier Inn secures Yorkshire sites

Whitbread Hotels & Restaurants has signed two deals that will see it operate Premier Inn hotels at developments in Yorkshire.

The group will operate a 60-bedroom hotel and 8,000 sq ft restaurant at Lingfield’s 130,000 sq ft Princes Gate retail and leisure scheme at Catterick Garrison in North Yorkshire. It has also signed a deal with Wykeland Developments for an 80-bedroom hotel at the £120m Flemingate development in Beverley, East Yorkshire.

Whitbread has also been granted planning consent for an 83-bedroom hotel in Wrexham, North Wales, to be developed by Preston-based Worthington Properties.

Adam Mobley, partner at Leeds-based WSB Property Consultants, which acted for Premier Inn, said: “The Catterick, Beverley and Wrexham developments represent a further £11m investment into the UK market and are testament to Premier Inn’s continued commitment to source and deliver hotels throughout the region as part of their UK expansion programme.”
