Byron, the premium hamburger brand created by Tom Byng, is to open its first restaurant outside London at Bluewater in Kent.
The 4,100 sq ft unit is situated in Bluewater’s Village, one of three distinct dining destinations, where it joins Côte, Loch Fyne, Carluccio’s, Zizzi and Pizza Express. Byron will open in late spring.
The letting follows the opening of entertainment dining-themed Plaza last November, and the announcement last month that work has begun on the multi-million pound redevelopment of the third village, the Wintergarden.
Byng said: “The move out of London is a bold, but logical step for Byron, and Bluewater is the perfect place to begin. With Bluewater’s enduring commercial success, we will have the ideal location from which to showcase the Byron brand as we begin the next stage of our expansion.”
Shelley Sandzer acted for Bluewater; the Gondola Group dealt direct.
