Preston city council is expected to decide next week to demolish Preston bus station and rebuild it.
Demolition and replacement is deemed to deliver better value for money than the cost of repairing and refurbishing the existing station. Conservationists are battling to save the existing facility which is an example of the mid-20th century Brutalist school.
