Waitrose’s managing director, Mark Price, will leave the retailer in April next year after being at the company for 33 years.
He will be replaced by retail director Rob Collins, himself a 22-year veteran at the company.
Price is thought to be keen to apply to take over as chairman of Channel 4 when the current chairman, Lord Burns, steps down.
