Budget retailer Primark has agreed to open a 50,000 sq ft store at Thornfield’s 1.6m sq ft The Rock scheme in Bury, Greater Manchester.
Thornfield’s £350m retail-led, mixed-use scheme is currently under construction, due to open next summer.
The developer said that 70% of the scheme’s floorspace is under offer or in solicitor’s hands.
The scheme will include 500,000 sq ft of retail, which will be anchored by Debenhams and Marks & Spencer.
It will include 60 additional shops, a 10-screen Vue Cinemas complex, AMF 24-land bowling, eight restaurants and 408 flats.
The development has a construction cost of £167m.
