Primark increases Trinity Leeds shop size

Primark has signed up for an additional 20,000 sq ft of space at Land Securities’ 1m sq ft Trinity Leeds shopping scheme, taking the size of its store to 110,000 sq ft.

The fashion retailer originally signed up for 90,000 sq ft of space across three levels last April. LandSec has secured a planning ammendment which will allow it to extend the first and second floors of the store, which Primark has taken on a 20-year lease.

LandSec has also completed an 18,500 sq ft letting to New Look, on a 15-year lease. New Look will be located adjacent to Primark.

In its most recent interim management statement, LandSec said that Trinity Leeds has increased from 54% pre-let in September 2011 to 57.8% pre-let with a further 7.9% of deals in solicitors’ hands.
