Primark store development director to depart

Peter Franks, Primark’s director of store development and design, is to leave the value retailer later this year.

Franks played a significant role in overseeing store expansion, with notable launches including Oxford Street East, W1D.

A spokesperson for Primark said: “During his time with the company, Peter has made a significant contribution to the expansion of our store portfolio, overseeing numerous store openings including Oxford Street East in London, Downtown Crossing in Boston, and Gran Via in Madrid, as well as our store refurbishment programme.

“We wish Peter every success in the future.”

Meanwhile, Mark Woods, who joined Primark in 2015, has been appointed as brand and store development director.

He will take over Franks’ duties in the newly created role.
