Primark has signed up for a 90,000 sq ft store at Land Securities’ development Trinity Leeds.
The store will cover three floors of fashion trading across 67,400 sq ft. The anchor will stand in the western end of the new development opposite a new flagship H&M.
With Primark on board, LandSec has achieved 58% prelet and in solicitors’ hands by income.
The 750,000 sq ft shopping centre development has just one anchor, Marks & Spencer. It is set to become the first major retail development outside London to start since the downturn.
LandSec managing director, retail, Richard Akers said: “The store will attract many shoppers from across Yorkshire and further afield. And it’s another milestone for the project and a real demonstration of our strong relationship with Primark.”
