Prince William is being urged to invest more in the restoration of Dartmoor’s Celtic rainforest.
The prince, who inherited the £1bn Duchy of Cornwall estate last year when his father became king, has received a petition of more than 60,000 signatures calling for parts of the estate to be rewilded.
Meanwhile, the King has given up his Welsh farmhouse in a bid to cut costs.
Buckingham Palace confirmed that the King had given notice to the Duchy of Cornwall that he would be giving up the lease on Llwynywermod, a farmhouse near Llandovery in Carmarthenshire. The duchy, which bought the house for £1.2m in 2007, will commercially let the property when the lease expires later this summer.
