Walsall’s former BHS store has been bought for £750,000.
The 35,380 sq ft building at 71-75 Park Street was vacated by BHS in August 2016, and sat empty until 2019 when local company Retail Multiples Walsall took it on until 2029.
It sub-lets smaller units of the former department store to local retailers and pop-ups.
The store was sold off-market to an undisclosed private investor by Bond Wolfe.
Bond Wolfe managing director James Mattin said: “We are delighted to have continued our successful run of town centre investment sales in Walsall town centre as part of our wider investment sales drive.”
He added that investor confidence in the town centre was high, and further pipeline sales would be signed “imminently”.
Siddall Jones represented the buyer.
