Privatised rail freight operator selects Cardiff for Welsh HQ

EWS Rail – the newly privatised rail freight operator – has selected Cardiff as the location for one of its three regional headquarters. The company, owned by US-based Wisconsin Central, is to rationalise the network of offices formerly operated by the four state-owned freight companies: Railfreight, Transrail, Mainline and RES.
