ProLogis has finally got the go-ahead for one of the largest mixed-use schemes in the Thames Gateway.
The 264-acre “The Bridge” in Dartford, Kent, will be built close to Queen Elizabeth II Bridge on land formerly occupied by Joyce Green Hospital and Littlebrook Lakes.
ProLogis will develop the commercial element, which comprises 1.45m sq ft of industrial and office space, including a 670,000 sq ft distribution hub prelet to Sainsbury’s, as well as a 330,000 sq ft science park, a 30,000 sq ft innovation centre and shops.
A third of the site will be recreational open space.
George Wimpey will build 1,134 of the 1,500 homes on a 48-acre slice of the site that it bought in June.
Jones Lang LaSalle and Holley Blake are advising.
See this Saturday’s Estates Gazette for more information.
