Prologis gets approval for south London logistics hub expansion

Prologis’s proposals for the second phase of its Park Beddington scheme in Croydon, south London, have been given the go-ahead by the council.

Permission was granted to develop four facilities, providing an additional 93,935 sq ft of logistics space.

Prologis has said the new buildings will be constructed to a high sustainability specification, targeting BREEAM Excellent and EPC A+ ratings.

They will also be carbon-neutral in construction and net-zero-carbon in operation for regulated energy use.

Winvic has been appointed as the main contractor, with groundworks due to start on site in May this year.

The first phase of Prologis Park Beddington Lane was ready for occupation in February 2021, comprising six industrial and logistics facilities, measuring between 13,820 and 146,120 sq ft.
