Prologis UK has partnered with supply chain specialist Visku to launch a flexible warehousing offer.
Called Flexxtra, the warehouse-as-a-service model allows businesses to outsource short-term warehousing space on an as-needed, pallet-by-pallet basis.
Prologis will offer the service at Prologis Park Wellingborough West DC4, which has been fitted out to accommodate 70,000 pallets.
As part of the service, Prologis has appointed Kinaxia Logistics to operate Flexxtra, working alongside Visku and its “pallet hotel” platform to manage inbound receipts, insurance and outbound fulfilment for customers. Visku will oversee the day-to-day customer management.
Kinaxia’s own flagship warehouse is located at Prologis’s DIRFT site near Daventry.
