ProLogis has confirmed Wincanton has signed for 700,000 sq ft at the 120-acre ProLogis Park in Kettering, as tipped by Estates Gazette in October last year.
Serving a contract for Argos, the third party logistics operator has signed a 10-year lease at £4.75 per sq ft.
The US real estate investment trust added that it has let 253,000 sq ft at Wakefield Europort to Rotherham-based E Pawson & Son, again on a 10-year lease, for £5 per sq ft.
It also confirmed rumours of another 10-year lease – that logistics company I-Force has taken 165,000 sq ft at Fort Dunlop, Birmingham, at £5.55 per sq ft.
ProLogis UK managing director Alan Curtis said: “We continue to be pleased with the vitality we’re seeing in the UK market.
“Our company accounted for close to a quarter of all industrial leasing across the country in 2005, and the size and volume of new transactions has remained strong for us through the first part of the New Year.
“We look forward to forging close relationships with our new customers, and to further extending our position as the UK’s largest industrial facilities provider.”
