Prologis Park Coventry expansion approved

Prologis UK is set to develop an additional 159,000 sq ft of logistics space at its industrial park in Coventry.

Planning consent has been granted to deliver either a single facility or two-building scheme at Prologis Park Coventry, depending on customer demand.

The development will target EPC A and BREEAM Excellent ratings, as well as being net zero carbon in construction.

Prologis Park Coventry is located five minutes from Junction 6 of the M6 and within 15 miles of five motorways. It has been a home for businesses in the automotive and wider logistics sector. Occupiers on the park include Co-Op, Gefco, DHL, Royal Mail and Mecalac.

Caroline Musker, head of planning at Prologis UK, said: “Delivering flexibility through our two permissions at this scale means we can be adaptable to the market and the requirements of prospective tenants.”

Maria Bailey, head of planning at Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, said: “Supporting the growth of businesses, and attracting more commercial activity to the area, will secure the delivery of an employment site and bring inward investment and jobs to the borough.”

Avison Young and Holt Commercial are acting on behalf of Prologis.
