ProLogis plans speculative scheme at Wakefield Europort

ProLogis Kingspark Developments is planning a speculative development at Wakefield Europort.

The developer has bought 8.1ha (20 acres) at the £200m industrial and distribution park in Wakefield from Amec Developments. ProLogis has submitted detailed plans for phase one, which will comprise 11,148 sq m (120,000 sq ft). The site is in the section of Europort known as Tuscany.

Construction is due to start in August and the first phase will include about 594 sq m (6,000 sq ft) of offices. ProLogis Kingspark will offer the new space on short-term leases.

Europort is at junction 31 of the M62.

Knight Frank and Jones Lang LaSalle are Amec’s agents. Knight Frank also acted for ProLogis Kingspark.
