Prologis has secured outline planning permission for an 887,000 sq ft manufacturing and distribution development in Birmingham.
The Prologis Park Hams Hall scheme is the last large-scale development in the multi-modal Hams Hall site, which is close to the M6 and M5 motorways.
A nearby intermodal rail freight terminal at Hams Hall will also offer connections to the east coast, channel ports, Scotland and continental Europe.
Infrastructure work is expected to start early next year with construction scheduled for summer 2018.
Alan Sarjant, senior vice president of Prologis UK, said: “Hams Hall is a prime logistics location for the West Midlands. This is a highly supply-constrained market, so we are delighted that we have been able to bring this site forward.
“There is strong demand for both manufacturing and distribution facilities in Birmingham and a great deal of interest in Prologis Park Hams Hall.”
