The judges of this category could not have been more emphatic: “The combination of Jones Lang LaSalle and King Sturge has the potential to create a future category killer. A hands-down winner.”
Acres of newsprint have been devoted to the coming together of these two firms, but it is the merging of the industrial teams of JLL and last year’s winner of this category, King Sturge, that leaves their rivals trailing.
The firm now boasts 105 dedicated industrial agency and investment specialists covering the UK.
Over the past year, the combined industrial and logistics leasing team transacted more than 26m sq ft of space across the UK and advised on the development of a significant number of new 100,000 sq ft-plus units.
According to the 2010 EGi Deals competition, the firm completed the largest number of leasing deals of all industrial agents.
Deals came thick and fast – including the £123m sale of the AEW portfolio. And there were new instructions too, including one from Legal & General on a 70-acre development in Corby.
