Traditional methods of storing and retrieving old documents are set to be “blown out of the water”, according to a new archiving company.
R-Kive.It, a London-based firm that scans up to 2000 documents a time on to CD-ROMs at its plant in India, is targeting the property sector as potentially the biggest beneficiary of its service.
Having signed up niche London surveyor Robert Irving & Burns, the company is close to securing Colliers CRE and is in negotiations with several other major firms.
R-Kive.It MD Robert Lipson said: “With office space as tight as it is, why use it to store paper? By scanning the thousands of documents in clients’ archives that are difficult to retrieve, the process becomes more effective. And at 3p per document, we are around five times cheaper than our competitors.”
R-Kive.It is partly backed by accountant Baker Tilly.
