Good yields have promoted property to the fore of pensions investment needs, says the opening feature of a Financial Times survey on property fund management.
Another reports that the time is not far away when buildings and offices will be valued on whether they are adequately wired up for new technology rather than on space or location.
Other articles say the opacity of the property sector and questions over the value of indices have kept mangers performances in the dark; investors may need more education before they can discernibly invest in property funds with an eye for management styles; mergers and takeover mean more money and power in the property fund management sector are falling into fewer hands and traditional institutional investors are rejecting direct property holdings because they are increasingly expensive to manage.
