Quoted property companies took a major chunk of the plaudits at this week’s Investor Relations magazine UK awards.
British Land won three awards: most progress in investor relations for a FTSE 100 company, best board communications and best property company.
Hammerson won the grand prix for best overall investor relations for a FTSE 250 firm, and its Chris Smith was voted best investor relations officer.
Development Securities won the grand prix for smaller companies, and self-storage group Big Yellow won the best progress award for non-FTSE firms.
And Derwent Valley, Land Securities, Rugby Estates and St Modwen were highly commended in various categories of the awards.
