Proposals lodged for Billingham business park

Osborne House has submitted plans to transform a former 26.7-acre golf course, located off Greenwood Road in Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees, into a business park.

The move comes after proposals to deliver new homes on site were turned down by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council amid health and safety concerns associated with the industrial plant at Belasis Technology Park, opposite the development site.

Fresh proposals have been outlined for 325,000 sq ft of industrial and distribution development, spanning across either one or two buildings, parking and servicing areas. The plans also include the provision of landscaped zones along the Greenwood Road frontage.

The site is close to junction B1275 of the A19. Osborne House has identified a shortage of new build industrial stock in all size ranges across the region, with only limited speculative development taking place.
