Proposals unveiled for rebuilding bomb-stricken Manchester
Design proposals were unveiled yesterday for the rebuilding of Manchester city centre in the wake of the IRA bomb in June. The contenders have been shortlisted from a competition set up by Deputy Prime Minister Michael Hesseltine. They include Halliday Meechan Architects with Richard Reid & Associates; Edaw Simpson Baxter and Benoy; Building Design Partnership, and Llewelyn-Davies with Michael Hyde and Associates.
