Whipp will join the management team at Trustek, led by founders Freddie Pritchard-Smith and Michael Crawford.
Pritchard-Smith said: “Trustek is on a rapid growth curve and we are working with an expanding international client base. Katie has been integral to Deepki’s expansion into the UK and beyond, delivering outperformance year-on-year and will be a tremendous asset as our business continues to develop.
“Her prior experience at CBRE and Cluttons has given Katie a deep understanding of UK real estate and the challenges that face owners and occupiers who are looking to deploy smart building tech.”
Whipp said: “There are now an estimated 10,000-plus proptech solutions many of which are vying for the attention of owners and occupiers. It can be bewildering to be on the receiving end of that – and even harder to then adopt the tech that will make a positive contribution to your operations.”
She added: “ESG requirements and the pathway to net zero are converging with the smart building tech that can play a major role in delivering sustainable practice and benefits. I want to use my experience in both these fields to help clients find long-term solutions that can evolve to meet changing operational and business needs.”
Trustek’s client base includes Redevco, Legal & General Investment Management, Muse, Mapletree and Patrizia.
