Proptech firm Essensys names new group chief revenue officer

Proptech company Essensys is continuing its executive-level hiring spree with the appointment of a former WeWork employee as group chief revenue officer.

Essensys, which digitally enables buildings, spaces and portfolios, has hired Daniel Brown to lead its revenue function, connecting sales, revenue operations and marketing as the company continues to scale its business globally.

Brown was most recently at Giraffe360, which provides photography, virtual tour and floorplan solutions for real estate agents, but previously spent four years at flexible workspace provider WeWork until May 2022. He was sales lead for its on-demand software product and led on its All Access business line, which allows members to book workspace at locations worldwide.

Mark Furness, co-founder and chief executive at Essensys, said: “As the office real estate market continues to face changing dynamics around digitalisation and flexibility, Dan’s background in SaaS and flex forward real estate will be a great asset to our team and our business.”

Brown joins following a number of appointments to the company’s executive team, including Sarah Harvey as chief financial officer, Kally Kang-Kersey as chief people officer and James Lowery as UK & European chief executive.
