Protego Real Estate Investors, the UK based real estate investment company, has announced four new appointments.
James Salmon joins Protego as a principal and head of asset management at the end of the year.
Salmon worked at Arlington Property Investors for six years, where he managed three specialist retail limited partnerships, including Regent Retail Parks Partnership and Two Rivers Limited Partnership.
He had previously worked at Capital and Regional for five years, specialising in retail property.
Peter Grancaric joins from Drivers Jonas as an associate in Protego’s new business team and Edward Fenn-Smith from CBRE as an associate in funds investment.
The fourth appointment sees Professor Tony Key of Cass Business School take on the position of head of investment strategy as a consultant to Protego.
Key was for many years a director and head of research at IPD and is currently professor of real estate economics at the Cass Business School, which will remain his principal role.
Iain Reid, Chief Executive of Protego said: “I have known Tony and respected him for many years and I know it stimulates him to spend some time as a poacher at last!”
