The UK’s first new-generation proton beam therapy centre is planned for London by Advanced Proton Solutions Holdings and Valentine Investments.
The companies have gained a resolution to grant planning permission from the City of London, to redevelop 35-39 Moorgate and 63-66 Coleman Street.
Four levels below ground and seven upper floors are planned for the 65,000 sq ft facility.
Proton beam therapy for cancer patients will take place below ground, while the upper part of the facility will contain offices and consultation rooms.
APS will operate the scheme, which will be funded by the private sector. CareCapital is a 28.75% shareholder in APS.
Alan Cook Consultancy is acting as development, planning and investment consultant to Valentine. The architect is Rolfe Judd.
