Prudential has appointed Crosby Homes to develop a £20m residential scheme as part of the Shambles West in Manchester city centre.
Sources claim the luxury apartments at Number One Deansgate will cost £2m a first for the city centre.
The triangular glass tower will be the residential centrepiece of the Prudentials development, which is situated between New Cathedral Street and Deansgate, adjacent to Marks & Spencer.
Nick Carter, group managing director at Crosby Homes, confirmed the development has detailed consent for 88 units, retail on ground level and basement car parking: “Well definitely be well in excess of breaking the £1m barrier for these apartments. But at the moment we cant definitely say what exactly the prices will be.”
Julian DArcy of Knight Frank, which is advising Crosby Homes on lettings, said: “These will be the most expensive units ever seen in the Manchester market.”
