Paul McNamara is to step down as head of property research at PRUPIM at the end of September. McNamara will be taking retirement after 25 years with the company. Richard Gwillim, deputy head of property research, will replace him at the beginning of October.
Martin Moore, managing director of PRUPIM, said: “Richard has made a great impact since joining PRUPIM six years ago. As part of our succession planning, he was appointed as Paul’s deputy some time ago. He is clearly Paul’s natural successor, and I know he will contribute significantly to PRUPIM in his new role.
“Paul has made an exceptional contribution to both the property industry in general and our business in particular over the years, building our highly regarded research capability, and extending its reach globally to support our UK and international portfolios.
“He has also led the development of commercial property derivatives to manage risk and, most recently, spearheaded internal and external understanding of sustainable investment in commercial property. He will be missed but we wish him the very best in his retirement.”
