Seventeen pubs will be included in Midland’s-based CP Bigwood’s largest auction in 18 months on 28 February.
Some 130 lots will be offered, including 68 residential and 41 commercial properties, 13 development sites and eight sets of ground rents and garages at Aston Villa Football Club, Birmingham.
Pubs have recently gained in popularity at auction with the firm selling all eight offered for sale at its December sale.
CP Bigwood director Ian Tudor said there was strong demand for pubs from both private individuals and small local pub companies.
“Pubs tend to lend themselves for conversation for a wide variety of alternative uses, such as residential, conversion to convenience stores, other retail including betting shops and hot food takeaways, and even medical uses and children’s nurseries.”
Included in the sale is the vacant Queens Head Inn in Stoke Pound, Worcestershire, with a guide of £395,000.
