Puma loans £13m to McGoff for Manchester care home and nursery

Puma Property Finance has closed a £13m loan to fund the development of a care home and nursery in Bowdon, Greater Manchester.

The loan represents Puma’s ninth facility to the McGoff Group. It will fund the development of a 51-bedroom care home, with each bedroom benefiting from an en-suite wet room, and an adjoining children’s day nursery with approximately 90 places.

The care home and nursery will have an emphasis on intergenerational interaction, which will be carried out by both the care home and nursery staff collaboratively. The development is designed to offer children and the older generation the chance to spend regular time in each other’s company, bringing mental and physical health-related benefits.

Construction of the care home and nursery is expected to complete in December 2024 and February 2025 respectively. The care home will be operated by New Care, while the nursery will be run by Back to the Garden Childcare, the McGoff Group’s care home and nursery brands.
