Whitbread has announced an £80m joint venture with Punch Taverns to build at least 50 new Travel Inn budget hotels next to Punch pubs.
It will enable Punch to accelerate its budget hotel development – the fastest growing sector of the market.
Travel Inns are due to open in Manchester, Bristol and Southampton by the beginning of next year – three of six new cities in which it is hoping to develop.
