Quayle makes way for Conway at Edinburgh House

Tony Quayle is stepping back as MD of Edinburgh House Estates after founding the business 20 years ago.

Quayle said he had taken the decision to step down following the following the launch of Estama UK as a standalone business.

Incumbent COO Eoin Conway will formally take over the MD role in January, as well as taking over as MD of Estama UK.

Quayle set up the second tier retail investor Edinburgh House with CEO David Roberts in 2001, growing it to a 2.3m sq ft portfolio worth £350m, with an annual rent roll of £25m.

He will remain involved as an investor and senior consultant, continuing to support the board with his expertise.

Conway, has been with Edinburgh House for seven years and played an integral part in the launch of ESTAMA UK as an independent property and asset management specialist earlier this year.

Conway said, “I am incredibly excited to be taking on the role of MD and look forward to working closely with David to drive the business forward. Tony has been an exceptional leader and his consultative support and insights will be very welcome as we proceed.”

The transition coincides with the appointment of Nick Round, previously of intu, as head of asset and property management.
