Queensberry plans Tunsgate makeover

TunsgateMAPIC: Queensberry Real Estate has submitted plans to reconfigure and refurbish the 60,000 sq ft Tunsgate shopping centre in Guildford, Surrey.

Working on behalf of owner the Merseyside Pension Fund, Queensberry plans to “establish a distinctive retailing quarter” as part of the reconfiguration, adding a further 10,000 sq ft of shops and leisure space to the 1970s-built Tunsgate.

Work on site is expected to begin in the middle of next year, with opening scheduled for 2016.

CBRE is advising on planning; Lyon+Sleeman+Hoare is the architect.
