Queensgate bulks up team with Aprirose and Blackstone hires

Queensgate Investments has recruited Aprirose chief operating officer Gary Jones and former Blackstone European real estate credit general counsel Daniel Peart.

Jones joins Queensgate as chief operating officer. He initially joined Aprirose in 2015. During his time there, Jones oversaw the day-to-day running of the company including all of its finance, HR and procedural issues.

Before Aprirose, Jones spent nine years running Edinburgh House Estates’ asset management arm Estama.

Daniel Peart spent five years at Blackstone, where he was a former principal in the real estate credit division in Europe. Before that, he was a director at the Royal Bank of Scotland for six years until 2016.

Peart has taken on the role of general counsel at Queensgate.

Their hires come after the Kensington Forum Hotel owner, which manages around £3bn assets, completed the debt restructure for its hostel business Generator Group.

Jason Kow, founder and chief executive of Queensgate, said: “They are two very important additions which will further strengthen our team and their appointments signal a very exciting time for the company.”
