Question mark over returns from Sainsbury’s expansion

A question mark remains over the returns that Sainsbury’s aggressive expansion will generate, says the Financial Times in an interview with the supermarket group’s chief executive, Justin King.

The newspaper says this is particularly so because Tesco is equally zealous. It notes that Sainsbury’s convenience store roll-out is behind schedule. The company has also yet to develop an overseas operation.
