Quintain searches for Wembley music venue partner

Quintain has begun a search for an operating partner for a new 16,000 sq ft music venue as part of its Wembley Park 85-acre regeneration project.

The developer is looking to broaden the entertainment offering already offered by Wembley Stadium and Arena and capitalise on the widespread closure of smaller music venues across London.

Construction by the Lone Star-backed firm is due to being in the third quarter of this year. The ultimate operator will choose, with Quintain, one of four prospective designs to push ahead with and the building will also include restaurants and bars.

This week Quintain also begun marketing the 235,000 sq ft of retail that will sit alongside the 7,000 PRS flats being developed at the site, which is in addition to the 265,000 sq ft at the existing London Designer Outlet.

The site is being split into four: the Village, which will focus on artisan and independent retailers and restaurants; the Boulevard, that will be home to larger household names that will aim to capitalise on footfall from the stadium and arena; White Horse Square, which will have a convenience focus and the Park, which will be “a haven for families”.

Quintain is looking to offer flexible and turnover rental options to retailers, particularly in the Boulevard, in order to attract start-ups and smaller businesses.

Cushman & Wakefield and Nash Bond are the letting agents.
