Quintain unveils finance director

Quintain Estates has promoted Richard Stearn to finance director with immediate effect.

Stearn joined the company in January as deputy finance director. He replaces Rebecca Worthington, who was promoted to deputy chief executive in May.

Stearn was previously group financial controller and company secretary at Berkeley Group Holdings, following a 12-year stint at PwC.

Quintain chairman William Rucker said: “We are delighted to announce today Richard Stearn’s promotion to finance director. Richard has an enviable track record and his experience from over two decades at Berkeley Group and PwC has enabled him to make an invaluable contribution to Quintain since joining in February.

“Over the next 12 months his focus will be on continuing to drive down costs, de-gear the business and secure refinancings to further strengthen the balance sheet and increase financial flexibility.

“Finally I would like to thank Rebecca Worthington, our deputy chief executive for all her incredible hard work in this role, which has enabled us to move forward from a position of increasing financial strength.”

Richard Stearn said: “I am delighted to be appointed finance director of Quintain. The company has made significant progress over the last 12 months and I look forward to working as part of the new management team to build further momentum over the coming months and years.”
