Britain’s biggest homeware and soft furnishings retailer has lifted its profit forecasts for the third time this year after receiving a boost from the recent wet weather.
Dunelm surprised the market yesterday with an unscheduled trading update in which it told investors that annual profits this year would be better than expected. Sales at the company, which is based in Leicestershire, have been buoyed by “unseasonably favourable weather conditions” that have encouraged shoppers to dodge the rain and shop for home furnishings.
