The Rank Group’s Grosvenor Casino chain is to take a 1,860 sq m (20,000 sq ft) casino at Richardson Developments’ £150m Printworks leisure scheme in Manchester, writes David Thame and Lisa Pilkington.
It is understood it will be a new-format Hard Rock casino to complement the 200-seat Hard Rock Café already operating at the Printworks.
But the search for an occupier to take the 30,000 sq ft (2,790 sq m) former Virgin family entertainment centre space goes on. Director Lee Richardson said: “We are working with Virgin to re-let this space and are talking to three or four parties.”
Both Virgin and the Richardson’s are keen to let the space to another FEC operator. Namco is known to have considered the site, although it has decided not to take the space.
