Cybersecurity firm Rapid7 has signed a 10-year lease at No 2 Forbury Place, Thames Valley, as it relocates from its current 8,500 sq ft office in Theale.
The firm has expanded its workspace to 22,616 sq ft, with its new town centre hub located on the first floor of the grade-A listed 192,000 sq ft building.
Aaron Pope, director of asset management at M&G Real Estate, said: “No 2 Forbury Place is a prime example of why M&G Real Estate continues to develop, reposition and invest in office assets across the UK and Europe’s major towns and cities, to command premium rents from UK and international occupiers which have sustainability and wellbeing at their core.”
The development was completed by M&G alongside Bell Hammer in 2017, and is one of Reading’s largest office buildings. The wider Forbury Place estate, a business district comprising 600,000 sq ft of office space over three buildings, is home to KPMG, SSE, PWC and Osborne Clarke.
Michael Keimig, senior real estate manager at Rapid7, said: “We selected the space because of its great location as well as the many amenities available to our employees, and we are confident Forbury Place will provide the next evolution in our workplace and a great home for our UK-based team.”
Savills acted as adviser to Rapid7 on the letting.
