Raven Russia has a land bank with nine more sites to build on after enjoying huge success.
It has succeeded in a country where other Western firms have failed. Anton Bilton and Glyn Hirsch, the entrepreneurs behind Raven Russia, put this down to sensitivity to the Russians’ way of doing business. Raven Russia controls 10 giant warehouses around Moscow, St Petersburg and the regions storing goods for blue-chip companies. Jones Lang LaSalle says 5m sq ft of warehouse space will be built in Moscow this year which is less than a third of the amount needed.
