Royal Bank of Canada has signed a pre-let with Brookfield Property Partners to lease 250,000 sq ft at 100 Bishopsgate, EC2.
The company will occupy the lower seven floors of the 37-storey tower on a 25-year lease, including the five podium levels which boast 44,000 sq ft floor plates.
Construction of the 962,000 sq ft building began in May and is expected to complete before the end of 2018.
RBC is the first tenant to sign up to the building.
Rents on the deal were not disclosed, but Brookfield is understood to have been seeking around £65 per sq ft for the space.
Martin Jepson, president and chief operating officer of Brookfield’s UK office division said: “RBC is a longstanding tenant of Brookfield’s with more than 1m sq ft in nine cities on three continents across the portfolio. Its decision to take space with us in London further deepens our strong international relationship.”
Knight Frank and GM Real Estate are letting agents on 100 Bishopsgate; JLL acted for RBC.
