Royal Bank of Canada has announced the departure of Kathryn Ogden from its London office.
Ogden, who helped build RBC’s Commercial Real Estate Capital Partners’ London business, will be replaced by Axel Brinkmann, who was previously a managing director in LaSalle Investment Management’s debt team.
Ogden will return to RBC CRECP’s head office in Dallas to help expand the global operations of the business.
Brinkmann, a trained architect, started his lending career with Wells Fargo.
Brian Collyer, managing director and global head, RBC Real Estate Capital Partners, said: “Axel is a great fit for our business. His combined experience in real estate banking and private equity nicely complements the team’s core skills in origination, underwriting and structuring of large and complex loan solutions, which we provide to the world’s premier real estate sponsors.
“We look forward to building on the success we have had in the region since extending the group to London in 2013.”
