RBS has confirmed its acquisition of 440 Strand, WC2, from Henderson Global Investors.
Coutts, the Queen’s private bank, will remain at 440 Strand, “after the private bank’s holding company bought the lease to the building”.
Peter Flavel, chief executive, Coutts & Co and Adam & Company said: “Coutts has been headquartered at 440 Strand for over a hundred years and it has undergone extensive renovation over the past two years. It makes perfect sense then that we own the building with which we’ve had such a long history and have continued to invest in.”
