RBS vacates Edinburgh properties

RBS-THUMB.jpegThe Royal Bank of Scotland has announced that it is closing four of its properties in Edinburgh, comprising a total of  344,000 sq ft.

The move comes as the bank consolidates its operations into its Gogarburn headquarters.

This will happen in stages over the next 18 months, as the Dundas Street building, the Gemini building, the Younger Building at Edinburgh Park and an annexe behind the old RBS headquarters closes.

An RBS spokesperson said: “In addition to the significant cost savings these moves will bring, working collectively will be key if we are to achieve our ambition to be the number-one bank in the UK for customer service, trust and advocacy.”
