Real estate tie-up for EV charging point specialist

A joint venture between Galliard Homes and Apsley House Capital has teamed up with electric vehicle charging specialist BP Pulse to source new sites for charging points as part of a £1bn push.

The Galliard Apsley Partnership will find, buy and develop locations for charging sites, helping BP Pulse with planning permissions, prelets and building. In 2022, BP Pulse announced plans to invest £1bn over 10 years in the UK’s EV charging infrastructure.

The partnership currently has a £500m portfolio of properties in Birmingham and the surrounding areas with a focus on urban regeneration.

Akira Kirton, vice president of BP Pulse UK, said: “This collaboration underscores our commitment to delivering fast, reliable and convenient charging in the right locations for EV drivers. By combining our strengths with Galliard Apsley, we believe that we will accelerate the growth of our EV charging network in the UK.”
